TITLE: CHILD NUTRITION ASSISTANT MANAGER
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma.
- Able to work with a diversity of individuals.
- Able to maintain records and reports.
- Must pass a background check.
- Is neat and clean in appearance. Wears a clean uniform and hairnet at all times.
- Demonstrates good communication skills and is pleasant with students, teachers, administrators and coworkers.
- Understands and practices basic sanitation and cleaning procedures and maintains the work area at a high degree of cleanliness.
- Traditional secretarial/office skills.
- Can organize time and workload.
- Communicates well both verbally and in writing.
REPORTS TO: Director of Child Nutrition
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To perform responsible software support functions in the preparation, maintenance and processing of all Child Nutrition data and reports. To provide support for a variety of Child Nutrition Department functions. To serve as a resource person for assigned support areas within the department. To do related work as required. To administer school lunch accounts, help prepare and serve the students nutritious meals in an atmosphere of courtesy, efficiency and cleanliness.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with all Child Nutrition software programs.
- Assist Director of Child Nutrition as needed.
- Reconciles deposits and transactions.
- Prepares routine forms and reports.
- Prepares accounts payable.
- Maintains inventory records and receipting invoices.
- Accurately composes correspondence, notices and memos as assigned.
- Assist with daily production records.
- Fill in for any position within the kitchen as needed.
- Data entry for nutrient analysis.
- Record keeping and filing of records.
- Communicates policies, regulations and other information pertinent to Child Nutrition operation and meal standards.
- Assist with maintaining HAACP and sanitation practices and keeps records up to date.
- Follows Brookings School District policies.
- Assist with serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner.
- Assist with set up and clean-up of serving area.
- Maintains a safe and sanitary workplace.
- Responsible for security of products and facility.
- Keep all pertinent Child Nutrition documentation confidential.
- Other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
The Board shall offer a letter of agreement with wages and benefits to be determined by the board as delineated in the Classified Employee Handbook.
EVALUATION PROCEDURE:
This position is responsible to the Director of Child Nutrition and the performance of this position will be evaluated by the Director of Child Nutrition. |
