TITLE:                      KITCHEN GENERAL HELP

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  1. Is neat and clean in appearance. Wears a clean uniform, apron, hairnet, and nametag at all times.
  2. Demonstrates good communication skills and is pleasant with students, teachers, administrators, and coworkers.
  3. Understands and practices basic sanitation and cleaning procedures and maintains the work area at a high degree of cleanliness.
  4. Can organize time and workload to be ready to serve meals at appropriate time. Looks ahead on menus to determine what need to be done.

 

REPORTS TO:         Cashier and Food Service Director

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

 

To help prepare and serve the students nutritious meals in an atmosphere of courtesy, efficiency and cleanliness.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  1. Able to lift 30 pounds on a regular basis.

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Assist with serving of food in quick and pleasant manner.
  2. Assist with set up and clean up of serving area.
  3. Other duties as assigned
  4. Mandatory attendance on dates substitutes choose to take jobs/work

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

 

The Board shall offer a letter of agreement with wages and benefits to be determined by the board as delineated in the Classified Employee Handbook.

EVALUATION PROCEDURE:

 

Position will be evaluated annually by the Food Service Director.
